After a week of thinking about it, I finally took the pastels given to me by my co-teacher 20 years ago and began drawing. Some of it I did without looking, and then I did a little amending. I have been up in Woodstock all week, and will return to Brooklyn tomorrow, just in time for class. Doing this was a delight. I wonder why I procrastinate as much as I do...
Having been notified by FedEx that my art supplies were in Wisconsin due to inclement weather, I was concerned that I wouldn't have what I needed for our next class. Here's what arrived the next morning! (The glue and the liquid paper are for other projects :) I felt like I remember feeling the week before school started - grade school, mind you - getting a new pencil case, and newly sharpened pencils, and a looseleaf binder, and a pack of new paper. Oh, and a pink eraser and a pencil sharpener... Such loveliness setting out on this new adventure with all of you! -Ellen

A beautiful one two three moment here - outside - inside - waiting . . .
